A Little Background About Les Arbres

Set in the historical Perigord Vert region of the Dordogne and the Perigord Limousin Regional Natural Park, Les Arbres is set in the centuries old hamlet of Les Brousses. This collection of farmhouses and barns is owned by Gill and Pat Connors, who purchased their dream French home in 2008. The gites of La Noix and La Noisette had already been beautifully restored by the previous owners, and were first rented out to holidaymakers in 2004 and 2005 respectively. La Chataigne is our own home

which we rent out until we make the big move to France. We also own the big barn across the lane, which we are currently renovating to become our new home (don't worry, any noisy work will be carried out during the winter months!). Once this is finished we will be moving permanently to France from our current home in London. We enjoy meeting as many of our guests as possible, but until we make the permanent move, Les Arbres is managed by our friends Mike and Penny, who live just a few minutes away.

The surrounding lanes offer lovely walks where you can spot buzzards, red deer, red squirrels, protected lizards, orchids and other wildlife, or you can borrow the bikes from our barn and ride through the local villages and woods to Les Petits Moulins, another beatiful hamlet with a lovely old watermill. Pat and Gill know that your family holiday is precious and we aim to provide you with everything you need to enjoy yourselves and relax. We provide a good standard of accommodation with quality touches such as goose down duvets, thick soft towels and top quality CD players with iPod / MP3 connections. The large garden is safely enclosed so your children can play out safely. The fabulous swimming pool is carefully fenced. Our beautiful trees after which the gites are named provide fruit and nuts in season, and you are welcome to help yourselves. Children will love the big bunny rabbits that hop round the quiet parts of the garden! From the families we have met, we know that Les Arbres provides great family accommodation of a very high standard, and many people return year after year. As one of our eight year old guests said on arrival "IÕm in heaven!"
